The Service and Commissioning Engineer role is based at our facility in Great Yarmouth and is responsible for after‑sales service, routine maintenance, breakdown support and repair of SIS supplied X‑ray products, along with in‑house and on‑site commissioning of new systems.
Responsibilities
* Carry out routine service, maintenance, breakdown and repairs to inspection system products at customer sites in the UK and Ireland.
* Diagnose faults and recommend corrective actions and improvements.
* Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment, including development, commissioning and testing of electro‑mechanical – radiation elements of X‑ray products.
* Provide customer training in equipment preventative maintenance, fault finding and routine operation.
* Maintain stock X‑ray equipment, demonstration systems and spare parts.
* Complete RAMS, reports and other paperwork in line with the quality management system and customer requirements.
* Be on call for out‑of‑office support duties on a rotational basis as required.
What we're looking for
* A broad background in electrical and mechanical engineering with hands‑on skills and competency.
* Competent in the safe use of electrical test and measurement equipment.
* Good knowledge of QA and safety management procedures.
* Full, clean UK driving license; ability to obtain SC or DV security clearance.
* HNC or HND in Electrical Engineering; 18th Edition electrical qualification desirable.

Working hours
Basic working week is 39 hours: 8.5 hours Mon to Thurs, 5 hours Friday. Additional hours when site working as required.
