Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust (BWC) is seeking to recruit one full-time Specialty Doctor to work within the Adult ADHD team working within its Mental Health Services.
The Mental Health Services [MHS] division is comprised of Forward Thinking Birmingham (FTB), which is a unique, innovative community and inpatient mental health service delivering a pathway of care for 0-25 year olds. The service is led by Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust and it is the first of its kind nationally. Bringing together the expertise and commitment of Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust (BWC), the Priory Group and The Children's Society, FTB offers a wide range of mental health support options tailored to the needs of the young people, young adults and families it cares for and supports.
Our service is currently undergoing exciting changes with the Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board Team to review regional-based ADHD pathways alongside peer providers to develop innovative and effective patient-centered pathway who are undergoing assessment, or have been diagnosed with, ADHD.
To join us in this exciting venture, we are looking for a suitably qualified specialty doctor who:

Main duties of the job
The Specialty Doctor will have a central role within an MDT context in delivering psychiatric assessment and treatment for a caseload of complex patients and their families, as well as contribute to providing psychiatric & medical risk management. The successful applicant will support the Adult ADHD medical lead and other MDT professional leads in participating with quality improvement & clinical governance activities.
On a day-to-day basis you will join an established ADHD 18 to 25 multidisciplinary team, comprising of specialist and dedicated mental health professionals including Lead Nurse, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Consultant Psychiatrists, Specialty Doctors and administrative support.
You will have a close working relationship on clinical matters with multidisciplinary teams and provide important liaison with other doctors in primary and secondary care.
