Interim Finance Analyst - Newton Abbot / Hybrid
Trial Balance Consulting is pleased to partner with one of South Devon’s most respected employers, a high-performing e-commerce business, to recruit an experienced Finance Analyst for a 7-month fixed-term contract. The role can be performed on-site or in a hybrid arrangement, offering flexible working hours outside the traditional 9-5 schedule.
Reporting to the CFO and collaborating closely with the senior management team, the successful candidate will play a vital role in the finance function, providing high-quality data analysis and insights into the company’s financial health while identifying growth opportunities. Key responsibilities include:
1. Managing budget and forecasting processes and reports
2. Analyzing current and projected financial performance
3. Producing detailed cash-flow reports
4. Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver financial insights
5. Supporting quarterly and year-end accounting reviews
6. Reporting on actual versus budget and margin variances, as well as overall profitability
7. Monitoring and communicating KPI variances
8. Assisting the CFO with ad-hoc accounting projects
Ideal candidates will be either qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or possess substantial vocational experience. They should be analytical, people-oriented professionals with proficiency in digital accounting systems, MS Excel, and the ability to quickly adapt to bespoke systems with training.
