About the role
DCHS Children’s Services offer a SCPHN Health Visitor position to be part of the Health Visiting Team based with the Shirebrook team in Bolsover.
You will deliver the Healthy Child Programme to the 0‑5 population and their families. You will develop therapeutic relationships with clients and work within complex family situations providing family‑focused evidence‑based care.
You will manage a defined active caseload and take responsibility for safeguarding children issues within that caseload. You will provide services in collaboration with partner agencies, statutory organisations and the voluntary sector, identify and act on the public health needs of the 0‑5 years, and work together to improve service provision and outcomes for this population group and their families.
* Prescribe according to assessed individual need from the Nurse Prescribing Formulary.
* Support and line manage the skill mix team.
* Develop leadership skills through mentorship responsibilities to pre‑registration and SCPHN students and provide preceptorship to support new staff members.
Requirements
* SCPHN qualification and current registration.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build therapeutic relationships.
* Ability to manage a caseload and act on safeguarding issues.
* Experience of working collaboratively with partner agencies and statutory organisations.
