Job Description
As a Project Engineering Technician I, you will work under the supervision of a registered professional engineer, collaborating with site managers and engineers to perform inspections and sampling services. Your role is critical in quality assurance for construction projects, including testing materials and monitoring activities such as earthwork, soil, foundation, reinforcement, concrete, masonry, and asphalt testing. You will also prepare detailed daily reports for project engineers.
Minimum Job Requirements
* Must be at least 18 years old
* High School Diploma or GED
* Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (3 years)
* Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Self-motivated and able to work independently
* Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
* Detail-oriented and punctual
* Proficient with smartphones and MS Office applications
* Physical ability to stand, walk, kneel, lift up to 50 pounds, and work on uneven ground
Applicant Certification Requirements
New technicians must acquire the Special Inspector General Requirements Certification and additional certifications within specified timeframes, including reinforced concrete, structural masonry, and soils inspections.
Qualifications
* Two years of construction materials inspection experience
* Industry-certified inspector
