Senior Transport Operations Clerk – Booker
Join our team based at the Booker Retail Partner Distribution Centre. You will support the day‑to‑day administration of the Transport department, overseeing the Operations Clerks.
About the role
* Shift pattern: Tuesday – Saturday, 14:00 – 22:00
Key responsibilities
* Completing the relevant accident investigation paperwork
* Dealing with CRM queries and resolving allocated tickets within deadlines
* Managing control of the fuel system
* Day‑to‑day management of Transport Operations such as route departures
* Tachograph downloads
* Communicating with managers, liaising with teams from transport, warehouse and CST
Requirements
* Data entry / administrative experience
* GCSE Maths and English grade C or above (or equivalent numeric and literacy skills)
* PC literate
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to analyse verbal and numeric data
* Can work on own initiative and under pressure
* Can work as part of a team
* Good time‑management and organisational skills
* Can work effectively in a constantly changing environment
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Experience with HGV drivers or similar transport role ideal; transferable skills considered
