Teaching Personnel is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide full-time support for pupils in Key Stage 1 with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) at a warm and welcoming primary school in Lytham.
Position Overview:
* Role: Teaching Assistant – SLCN Support (KS1)
* Location: Lytham, Lancashire
* Start Date: September 2025 (earlier start possible)
* Contract Type: Full time, long-term
* Hours: Monday to Friday, during school hours
About the Role:
You will work closely with class teachers and the school’s SENCO to provide targeted support for pupils with speech, language and communication needs. Your work will involve delivering structured interventions, supporting children in class, and helping them build the skills needed to succeed both socially and academically.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience supporting children in a primary school or similar setting
* An understanding of or interest in supporting children with SLCN
* A calm, patient and encouraging manner
* Confidence working 1:1 and in small groups
* A willingness to follow support plans and liaise with external specialists where needed
* A valid, child-only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
