About the role:
An established business in the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee operations, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and drive productivity and growth.
This is a hands:on leadership role that requires flexibility and a practical approach. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable engaging in day:to:day operational and administrative tasks as well as performing higher:level strategic planning and analysis. Youll be expected to lead by example : stepping in to support the team when needed, while maintaining a clear focus on business improvement, performance, and long:term goals.
This role is ideal for a results:oriented leader with a background in production, manufacturing, or other process:driven industries who thrives on developing teams and optimising performance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage day:to:day operations across production, logistics, and support functions.
* Lead and motivate teams to achieve operational excellence and meet key performance targets.
* Drive efficiency, quality, and cost improvements through effective process management.
* Oversee resource planning and performance metrics.
* Implement strategies to enhance productivity, safety, and profitability.
* Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
About you:
* Proven leadership experience within manufacturing, production, or a productivity:based environment.
* Strong understanding of operational processes, workflow optimisation, and performance management.
* Demonstrated success in managing people and improving productivity.
* A champion for Health and Safety.
* Excellent communication and problem:solving skills.
* Commercially minded with a practical, hands:on approach.
