The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology to join the expanding team of academic staff in the Department of Psychology. You will be a Forensic Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council that will be able to teach practitioner skills for our students on our MSc Forensic Psychology programme accredited by the British Psychological Society.
You will be joining an ambitious Department of Psychology that has seen significant growth in staffing, undergraduate, taught post-graduate, and PhD students and facilities in recent years. Our research portfolio is expanding with a highly successful Centre for Research into Forensic and Investigative Psychology alongside our Criminal Justice Research Network and research groups working in the areas of Childhood and Youth Psychology, Healthy Lives, Brain and Cognition and Social and Organisational Psychology.
The Department has a range of specialist laboratory facilities including observation labs with both camera systems and one-way mirrors, EEG and neuro-stimulation facilities, a Virtual Reality laboratory, and an alcohol research laboratory, as well as a full range of standard experimental laboratories suitable for a wide range of psychological research.
The MSc Forensic Psychology programme is taught on Wednesdays. As such, the postholder will be required on campus on Wednesdays.
