Caretaker
Location: Darlington
Salary: £13 - 17 per hour (dependent on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Part-time / Full-time
A welcoming and supportive school in Darlington is seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to maintain the school premises and ensure a safe environment.
The successful Caretaker will support the day-to-day management of the school site, ensuring facilities are secure, clean and well maintained.
Key Responsibilities of the Caretaker:
* Opening and closing the school site.
* Carrying out maintenance and minor repairs.
* Monitoring health and safety compliance.
* Ensuring site security.
* Maintaining cleanliness across the premises.
* Supporting a safe and well-presented environment.
The Ideal Caretaker Will:
* Have previous site or maintenance experience.
* Be proactive and reliable.
* Have strong practical skills.
* Be organised and able to work independently.
* Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply).
* Have a fully checkable work history.
