ISS at Royal Derby Hospital is looking for motivated individuals to join our HPV (Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour) / Rapid Response Cleaning Team. This is a vital role supporting infection control and maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors within a busy acute hospital setting.
You will carry out a range of ad hoc cleaning duties across wards and departments, including specialist HPV decontamination cleans. Working as part of a close-knit team of 15, you will help deliver high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the hospital.
This role requires flexibility, including weekend and bank holiday working. It is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a large, supportive team delivering essential services across cleaning, catering, portering, switchboard, R&D, and reception.
The Role
1. Deliver high standards of cleaning across wards and departments
2. Carry out ad hoc and rapid response cleaning tasks as required
3. Undertake HPV (Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour) decontamination cleans in line with procedures
4. Clean a variety of areas, including offices, meeting rooms, toilets, and clinical spaces
5. Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors using wet and dry methods
6. Ensure all chemicals and cleaning solutions are used safely and correctly
7. Maintain a safe working environment in line with Health & Safety regulations
8. Report any hazards, incidents, or near misses to your manager
