In this role, you will provide high-quality, person‑centred care to individuals in their own homes, helping them to maintain their health, wellbeing, and independence.
Responsibilities
* Supporting individuals with personal care (hygiene, washing, dressing, etc.)
* Supporting the administration of medication
* Assisting with meal preparation
* Providing companionship and offering social interaction
* Carrying out light domestic tasks
* Ensuring confidentiality of clients' information
* Utilising full personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by the company
Qualifications
* Minimum 6 months experience delivering personal care
* Good communication skills and the ability to work independently
* Flexible approach to work and the ability to manage priorities and deadlines
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative
* Level 2 health and social care diploma / apprenticeship framework is desirable; an opportunity to undertake this course will be available
* Access to your own transport is an advantage but not essential
* Ability to manage tasks with limited supervision and be a reliable team member for shift work
