About the role
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will lead and deliver marketing, communications and promotional activity across One Leisure and Burgess Hall Conference and Events Centre. You will develop and implement strategies to increase engagement, participation and income while promoting a positive image of Huntingdonshire.
You will oversee digital and print communications, including websites, social media and the One Leisure App, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all channels. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders – including members, partners, schools, contractors and local community groups – to deliver targeted campaigns that meet the needs of diverse audiences.
Key responsibilities include planning, developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies to increase participation, maximise attendance and drive income while promoting a positive image of Huntingdonshire District Council services.
* Lead and deliver marketing, communications and promotional activity across One Leisure and Burgess Hall.
* Oversee digital and print communications (websites, social media, One Leisure App) and ensure consistent branding.
* Develop and implement campaigns and initiatives with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Translate HDC’s vision into effective campaigns that are clear, consistent and impactful.
About you / Qualifications
You are an enthusiastic and proactive marketing and communications professional with a passion for the leisure, events or hospitality sector. You have proven experience in developing and delivering effective campaigns, managing budgets, and coordinating projects with multiple stakeholders. You have strong digital skills and the ability to use social media, websites and other communication tools to engage diverse audiences.
You are highly organised, able to work independently or as part of a team, and can adapt to changing priorities. Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills enable you to build strong relationships with colleagues, partners and the wider community. You are motivated by making a tangible impact, inspiring participation and promoting the positive image of services and facilities in line with Huntingdonshire District Council’s values.
* Experience in marketing within leisure, events or hospitality sectors.
* Proven ability to deliver campaigns, manage budgets and coordinate projects with multiple stakeholders.
* Strong digital skills and familiarity with social media, websites and other communication tools.
An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
