To support the finance function with day-to-day activities, assisting with month-end process, reporting and maintaining accurate financial records across the business. Description Support the preparation monthly of monthly management accounts including posting journal, accruals and prepayments. Assist with balance sheet reconciliation. Support the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory filings. Assist in the production of reports to the Boards of Directors. Assist with year-end audit preparation, including supporting schedules and information request. Maintenance of the fixed asset register. To contribute to the development of policies and procedures. Proactively support the implementation of new systems and help improving those in place. To assist the Group Accountant in the preparation of ad-hoc projects and reporting. To ensure that all bookkeeping, documentation, records and systems are accurate and kept up to date.Profile A successful candidate should have: Previous experience in an Accounting or Finance role Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations would be an advantage Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs), Word and SharePoint A professional, diligent and approachable manner High level of accuracy and attention to detail A proactive approach to problem solving and meeting deadlines Excellent organisational skills Willingness to learn and adapt to new challengesJob Offer Competitive salary and benefits Generous holiday entitlement of 25 days plus bank holidays.
