Job Description
The Role:
We're seeking an Assistant Merchandiser to join our growing Merchandising department.
The successful candidate will provide insight through analysis to support the Commercial team in delivering financial KPIs, manage intake and stock levels to optimize return on investment and support the range planning process.
Location: Currently our head office is based in Leominster, Herefordshire. However, we’re very excited to relocate to our brand new, high-quality offices in Hereford town centre in the next few months.
Hours: General office working hours, Monday to Friday, based 5 days per week at our head office.
Main Responsibilities:
* Assisting in the creation of seasonal budgets and buy plans by providing analysis of historical data, customer insights, and retail data.
* Supporting the product team to deliver agreed KPI’s through production of trading reports to identify gaps and opportunities.
* Helping with monitoring divisional open to buy in line with the agreed budget, and managing the flow of intake to optimize stock turn.
* Working with the trading team to deliver strong trading messages to our customers.
* Reviewing product performance and taking actions to potentialize opportunities and manage risk.
* Ad-hoc data reporting and analysis.
Skills and knowledge Required:
* Previous Merchandising experience in a fast-paced retail business.
* An understanding of Online trading, ideally gained in an online or multi-channel business.
* Excellent communication skills.
* High level of attention to detail.
* Interest in fashion/footwear.
* Self-motivated with an ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
