SJC Partners are currently working with a Top 200 law firm, looking to hire a Paralegal into their Residential Property department. Role Overview: The role involves undertaking a range of duties under supervision within the Residential Property team, including: Issuing contract papers on sales, including plot sales Assisting with the exchange of contracts Supporting completions and post-completion processes Liaising with clients, agents, and stakeholders in person, by telephone, and in writing Handling enquiries and preparing accurate responses Preparing and drafting legal documentation Conducting and checking searches and mortgage offers Preparing completion statements and bills Preparing pre-completion paperwork, including issuing notices to complete and associated documentation for plot sales Preparing completions on sales and purchases Preparing SDLT forms, Land Registry applications, and managing post-completion matters Skills and Competencies: Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage workload effectively Clear, logical problem-solving abilities Sound decision-making skills within the scope of the role Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Enthusiasm and reliability in supporting the team Excellent IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly Initiative and strong teamwork capabilities Flexibility and accountability in approach to work Active listening skills to gather and understand relevant information Commitment to contributing to a positive and cooperative work environment Qualifications: Degree or CILEX qualification, or proven relevant experience Time spent studying a relevant area of law is desirable
