About the Role:
Teaching Personnel are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Basingstoke. This is a term-time only position offering an hourly rate of £13.75. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support teachers in delivering tailored learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
* Assist pupils with additional support requirements during lessons and break times
* Help implement behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
* Aid in the development of social, communication, and life skills
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals
* Support the administration of classroom resources and preparation of learning materials
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience working in an SEN setting is highly desirable
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with special needs
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* Flexibility, reliability, and a positive attitude
* Basic understanding of safeguarding and child protection

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
