We're looking to recruit an experienced Housing Officer in Lancashire on a temporary contract, starting ASAP
You will be responsible for overseeing approx 500 tenancies, ensuring the delivering of high-quality housing and tenancy management services. The Housing Officer will be responsible for dealing with and managing their own caseloads of ASB and other tenancy breaches where appropriate, so the successful candidate will need a level of experience in managing cases of ASB and various other tenancy issues.
Your new role
1. Delivering high-quality, customer-focused housing management services including ASB, allocations, voids & lettings, tenancy sustainment andpliance
2. Processing tenancy management requests such as mutual exchanges, assignments, transfers, death of tenants and successions
3. Investigating and managing reports of ASB and other tenancy breaches, gathering evidence and providing appropriate resolutions
4. Supporting tenants at risk to sustain their tenancies, signposting to external agencies or initiatives, money advice and other housing options available for them
5. Carrying out new tenancy reviews, property inspections and checks, identifying issues
6. Assisting with repairs and maintenance requests
What you'll need to succeed
7. Proven experience in a housing and tenancy management role including managing cases of ASB and other tenancy breaches
8. Good understanding and knowledge of housing & tenancy legislation and best practice
9. Confident lone worker and ability to work on own initiative
10. Strong customer service,munication and interpersonal skills
11. Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
