Student Support & SEND Lead
Job type: Part Time, permanent
Salary: £31,982 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Thursday, 08.30-3.30); (Friday 08.30 to 2.30)

At Nacro, we work with students who may have struggled in mainstream education — often due to SEND, safeguarding risks, or personal challenges.
What will I be doing as a Student Support & SEND Lead?
* Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead within your centre
* Lead on EHCP reviews and oversee the delivery of inclusive SEND support
* Collaborate with Programme Leaders, Local Authorities, families, and external professionals
* Line manage Learning Support Assistants and help create a nurturing, respectful learning culture
Who we are looking for?
* Has experience in safeguarding, SEND, and multi‑agency working
* Communicates with empathy, clarity, and confidence
* Can lead others while staying grounded in the needs of students
* Believes that education opens doors — especially when others have closed
A DBS check will be required for this role. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check. Having a criminal record will not preclude your success in this role; any criminal record information will be subject to a fair and proportionate assessment.
