Location: New Forest / Isle of Wight (multi-site)
Salary: Excellent package plus potential accommodation
This is not a “run the farm” role. This is a build it, shape it and scale it opportunity.
We are working with a highly progressive, well-capitalised farming business, now looking to appoint a General Manager to lead the development of a large-scale, multi-site agricultural enterprise.
At the heart of the business is a major perennial crop orchard programme, supported by arable, livestock and stewardship systems across a significant hectarage.
The Opportunity
You will take full responsibility for:
1. Leading the delivery of a £multi-million orchard development programme
2. Embedding a true precision farming and orchard-led mindset
3. Building teams, systems and infrastructure from the ground up
4. Developing data-led agronomy capability in-house
5. Driving innovation across conventional, regenerative and sustainable systems
6. Operating across multiple locations with full commercial accountability
This is a rare chance to build a business, not just manage one
What We’re Looking For
This is not a standard Farm Manager appointment.
We are looking for someone who can:
7. Operate with a strong understanding of perennial cropping systems / orchard environments
8. Bring experience of precision agriculture and data-led decision making
9. Build and lead high-performing teams across multiple sites
10. Combine hands-on delivery with strategic thinking
11. Thrive in a fast-moving, evolving and ambitious environment
If you’ve built something, improved something or scaled something…we want to hear from you.
The Individual
12. Driven, resilient and commercially aware
13. Practical, hands-on and solutions-led
14. Naturally curious with a desire to continuously improve and innovate
15. Collaborative — no ego, just delivery
Why This Role Stands Out
16. Significant capital investment already committed
17. Ability to shape systems, people and strategy from day one
18. A genuine long-term leadership opportunity
19. A business combining commercial agriculture with sustainability and innovation
