Day Rate: £500 Inside IR35
Working Pattern: 5 days per week
Contract: Until 31 March 2026 (with intention to extend)
Start: Immediate
Location: Midlands-based (ideally 2 days onsite, flexible for the right candidate)
Overview
A local authority is seeking an experienced governance and procurement specialist to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of a procurement governance framework. This role is critical in strengthening transparency, compliance, and assurance across all organisational decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and deliver a robust procurement governance framework that supports high-quality, transparent decision-making.
2. Ensure compliance with constitutional, statutory, and regulatory obligations, supporting governance, assurance, and democratic processes.
3. Create toolkits, templates, and schedules aligned with wider corporate and committee governance structures.
4. Provide organisation-wide training to build capability and ensure adherence to governance and reporting standards.
