226648 -Trainee Charge Nurse–Community Nursing - Annex 21 70%
The role is in NHS Lanarkshire. Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria may be considered under the Annex 21 training programme, where during training they will be paid 70% of the top of Band 6 and, on completion of training, will move to the Band 6 scale.
Overview
The post holder is responsible and accountable for delivering an accessible, appropriate, high-quality and effective nursing service to all age groups in the community. This includes working in partnership with patients, care providers and other agencies, ensuring a person-centred approach that is safe and effective to maintain quality strategy. The post holder will function as an independent autonomous practitioner with the knowledge, expertise and experience to lead and enable the Community nursing team to provide a quality nursing service.
Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and support the Community nursing team.
* Act as a clinical expert and be involved in public health activities.
* Be accountable for a caseload over a 24-hour period.
* Be a key member of the Integrated Primary Care team and other multi-disciplinary groups.
What we need you to bring
* Registered Nurse with valid NMC Registration
* SPQ District Nursing/Nursing in the Home or equivalent Post Graduate Study
* Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level
* Postgraduate expertise within speciality/area of practice demonstrating leadership and knowledge to lead safety and efficiency
* Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards in the area of practice
* Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, policies and procedures in the area of practice
* Leadership skills to manage day-to-day service delivery
* Evidence of Continuous Professional Development in the area of speciality
* Excellent team-working, leadership, motivation and initiative
* Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills
* Effective time management skills
* Working knowledge of basic information technology

Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Nursing within Almada St.
The working pattern for this role will consist of 7 days per week with some out-of-hours components.
