You'll work on your own, with other members of staff, and volunteers, on a variety of practical tasks to help us protect and care for the landscape. This will include delivering a wide variety of estate maintenance work such as installing rights of way furniture, tree safety work, boundary maintenance and access work, woodland management, invasive species control and survey work. This is a very practical role and about 80% of your time will be ‘on the tools’.As an easily identifiable member of the Ranger team, we want you to engage with visitors; making time to talk to them and share your enthusiasm for the outdoors and our countryside. You’ll also share and promote the work that we do here, ensuring special places like these are here to be both protected and enjoyed by everyone for ever.
