The Opportunity
Our client is looking for a skilled and reliable Quantity Surveyor to join their collaborative commercial team. You will play a vital role in the financial and contractual management of a diverse project portfolio—helping deliver value-driven solutions and maintaining the high standards for which our client is known.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all aspects of cost planning, tendering, procurement, and financial control for assigned projects
* Prepare and monitor project budgets, valuations, and final accounts
* Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure best value and quality
* Work closely with contracts managers, clients, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery
* Monitor and manage project variations and contractual obligations
* Ensure compliance with company procedures, ISO quality standards, and relevant regulations
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean construction processes
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
* Solid background in construction cost control, ideally within refurbishment, healthcare, or education sectors
* Strong working knowledge of standard construction contracts (e.g., JCT)
* Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
* Self-motivated with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
* Collaborative mindset with a commitment to delivering quality and client value
* A full UK driving licence is desirable
