Overview

Real Estate Energy Associate (3-6 PQE). Location: Glasgow. Team: Tier 1-ranked. Salary: Market Leading, with lucrative bonus & benefits.

This role places you in a senior position within a Tier 1-ranked Real Estate team, driving some of the most significant and innovative projects in the UK. Based in Glasgow at one of the country’s most respected international firms, you will shape the future of energy and infrastructure development. The focus is on land and property deals that enable the transition to renewable energy and large-scale infrastructure projects. You will work with an impressive client base, including major energy providers, global investors and developers, providing exposure to complex, high-value work on par with few firms in Scotland. From day one you will have real responsibility, manage your own matters, guide junior colleagues, and contribute to the team’s growth. The role also offers opportunities to develop your profile in the market, support business development initiatives, and engage with clients at a strategic level. This is a long-term opportunity for an ambitious Real Estate Solicitor who wants to build market-leading expertise in the energy sector within a supportive, collaborative culture and progress within a globally recognised Top 25 firm.


Responsibilities

* Advising on major land acquisitions and disposals for large-scale energy developments
* Leading Real Estate aspects of onshore/offshore wind, solar, hydro, nuclear and carbon capture projects
* Supporting infrastructure clients on roads, rail and water developments
* Drafting and negotiating leases, development agreements and finance documentation
* Guiding clients through strategic land transactions to unlock next-export projects
* Mentoring junior colleagues and supporting their technical development
* Working collaboratively with partners and other departments on complex, cross-practice projects
* Handling cutting-edge, market-leading work and contributing to the UK’s transition to clean energy and future infrastructure


Your Experience

* 36 years PQE with strong Real Estate experience (Energy & Infrastructure focus is essential)
* Excellent technical and drafting skills with the ability to manage complex, high-value work
* Commercially minded with confidence in client-facing roles
* Collaborative team player, proactive and ambitious
* Interest in mentoring and contributing to the team’s wider success
