Role Requirements
You will be required to support the client with going to and trying new activities and new foods, and with the activities they currently enjoy.
Client Preferences
The client likes:
* riding their scooter
* swimming
* hiking
* skiing
* travelling
* dog walking
* gym
* gaming
* cinema
* going to town and the pub
* yoga
* going to McDonalds
The client dislikes:
* noisy environments
* getting up early
* having their routines interrupted or changed without notice
* surprises
* not knowing where they are going
* people shouting
* being excluded
Diagnoses
* Autistic spectrum disorder
* Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder
* Sensory processing disorder
* Convulsive syncope
* Systemic hypotension (they need to drink 3 litres of fluid before noon)
Communication & Support
They need to be spoken to using simple and straightforward language, time to process information and to respond, and it is important to check that they have understood what is being asked of them.
