Year 2 Teacher – Warrington (WA2)

A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Warrington (WA2) is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their dedicated team after October half-term. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys helping pupils build strong foundations in reading, writing, and numeracy as they approach the end of Key Stage 1.
About the Role:
* Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that inspire curiosity and promote progress.
* Support pupils as they prepare for Key Stage 1 assessments, ensuring every child feels confident and motivated.
* Use a range of assessment strategies to track progress and tailor teaching to meet individual needs.
* Foster a classroom environment that is inclusive, positive, and full of enthusiasm for learning.
* Collaborate with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to create a strong support network for pupils.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school, promoting creativity and a love of learning.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Has experience teaching in Key Stage 1 (Year 2 experience is desirable).
* Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and an understanding of early assessment practices.
* Builds strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
* Brings creativity, organisation, and a nurturing approach to their teaching.
* Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply).
