A well-established and expanding building services contractor is seeking a qualified Commercial Gas Engineer to join their maintenance and facilities team. Covering sites across London and the South East, you’ll be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and installation of commercial gas systems and appliances within commercial buildings, education settings, healthcare environments, and other public and private sector sites.

Key responsibilities
*
Service, maintain and install a range of commercial gas heating systems and appliances
*
Carry out inspections, fault diagnosis, and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation
*
Respond to reactive maintenance and emergency call-outs as required
*
Maintain accurate records of works completed, including service reports and compliance documentation
*
Liaise with clients to communicate findings, recommend further works, and schedule planned visits
*
Ensure all works are carried out in line with current Gas Safe, health and safety, and company standards
*
Participate in training and technical development to stay up to date with industry best practices
*
Work flexibly to support out-of-hours or on-call requirements when necessary
What we’re looking for
*
Commercial Gas Safe registered engineer with up-to-date qualifications (e.g., CCN1, COCN1, CIGA1)
*
Proven experience in servicing, maintaining and installing commercial gas systems
*
Strong technical knowledge and a safety-first mindset
*
Excellent communication and record-keeping skills
*
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
*
Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own workload
*
Flexible approach to working hours, including participation in an on-call rota
