Electrical Design Engineer
Plymouth, Commutable from: Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash, Yelverton
Up to 59,280 per annum, dependant on experience + Bonus + Early Finish on Friday + Pension + Extra Benefits
Excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in electrical control systems design to join a market–leading, international company.
The company is a well–established, highly revered manufacturing firm in the Plymouth area with sites across the world. They are renowned for the quality of their products and for being a leading and progressive employer. Due to growth, they are currently seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join their design team.
Within this role, you will work closely with the maintenance team and will be responsible for designing and drawing electrical circuits and control panels, safety circuits, motion control, PLC & HMI programming, and system integration into manufacturing robots and standalone machines.

The Role:
1. Design of control panels, identify obsolete components and source alternatives, design modifications for upgrades, implement continuous improvement, analyze downtime faults, causes, and create effective PPM and TPM activities.
2. Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm, 3:30pm finish on Fridays.

The Person:
* Electrical Engineering qualifications.
* PLC & HMI programming knowledge.
* Strong communication skills, able to work within multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience with AutoCAD and/or Eplan design software.
