The Health, Safety and Environment Advisor is responsible for helping to drive forward effective health, safety & environmental (HSE) processes and systems in London and the South East.
What You'll Be Doing...
Business Support
* Implementing health, safety and environmental policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
* Engaging with managers, ensuring responsibilities are clear and answering technical health, safety and environmental related enquires.
* Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
* Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as a key point of contact
Technical
* Undertake site audits, inspections, risk assessments and method statements
* Attend design, client and site meetings to give advice and discuss H&S
* Have a strong safety presence on projects
* Provide support, guidance and advise on all H&S matters
A Little Bit About You...
The successful Health, Safety and Environment Advisor will have:
* Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a construction or facilities setting, or a related industry
* NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification
* Experience/knowledge of the ISO management systems
* Strong communication skills with experience engaging colleagues at all levels
