Teacher Role for Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs
Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate teacher with a passion for supporting students with special educational needs? We’re working with welcoming and inclusive provisions in the Gateshead area looking for committed teachers to join their dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
1. Deliver tailored lessons meeting the individual needs of students with learning requirements such as ASD, ADHD, and SEMH.
2. Collaborate with support staff, SENCOs, and families to ensure a consistent and caring approach.
3. Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels encouraged and supported.
4. Track and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Experience working with SEN pupils
* Understanding of differentiated learning and EHCPs
* Patience, creativity, and resilience in teaching approach

Applicants with extensive experience in planning and teaching pupils with SEN, currently on at least the M5 pay scale or higher, will be considered for top pay brackets.
