Job Description Temporary HR & Recruitment Officer (6–9 Months) – Immediate Start York Based, Hybrid (2–3 Days in Office) £17.95 per hour Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm We’re looking for a proactive and capable HR & Recruitment professional to join a busy People team on a temporary basis for an initial 6–9 months. This role is based in York, with hybrid working (2–3 days per week in the office). You’ll be supporting a variety of HR and recruitment activities and working closely with colleagues across the People Team. This is a hands-on, varied role for someone confident jumping in and supporting wherever needed. Key Responsibilities: HR administration: data input, letter and contract drafting, mailbox management, and responding to general HR queries Onboarding support, including pre-employment checks and vetting Recruitment admin: screening CVs, booking interviews, and supporting hiring managers Managing recruitment data and generating reports General data analysis and support with ad hoc HR projects What We’re Looking For: HR generalist experience, with confidence managing multiple priorities Strong data handling and reporting skills Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) A dependable self-starter who can work with minimal supervision CIPD qualification is a bonus but not essential If you’re available to start immediately and are looking for a varied HR and recruitment role within a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you!
