The Defence School of Transport is looking for a motivated and driven individual to manage the current Co-ord/Reception department. The Defence School of Transport (DST), based at Normandy Barracks in Leconfield, was formed in 1996 to provide driver and transport management training to personnel from the Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Marines. The school trains 10,000 service personnel every year, delivering outstanding training on road-going and specialist military vehicles. Training is conducted in classrooms, lecture theatres, demonstration areas, a purpose-built road and cross-country training area and on public roads. DST can train up to 1,500 personnel at any time making us the largest residential driving school in the World. Job Description: The Defence School of Transport are looking to appoint a highly motivated, hard-working, and dynamic individual to manage a small team responsible for planning, loading and resulting Initial Trade Trainees (ITTs) from tri-service. This is a critical role delivering a key function enabling the Defence School of Transport to deliver vital training to tri-service personnel, providing an excellent opportunity to deliver real value in a professional, positive environment. Key responsibilities: Responsible for line management of the pipeline team, prioritisation and distribution of team workload, loading of ITTs courses in accordance with the ITT training plan, loading of sequential courses utilising Management Information Systems (MIS) and aligning ITTs to the correct training pathway, dependant on cap badge/trade and resulting the courses in a timely manner. You will work closely with other Operational Groups (Ops Gps) within the tri-service environment to ascertain loading priorities and planning most efficient training pathways. You will be an integral part of the current Pipeline Cell, managing a small team, working closely with Operations and Planning. Understand delivery outputs in the Initial Trade Training space. Have working experience in the use of Management Information Systems (MIS) and data analysis.
