Bank Community Staff Nurse – Clackmannanshire/Stirling H&SCP
Staff bank positions have arisen for Registered Nurses (part one of professional register) to work within the District Nursing teams based within Clackmannanshire and Stirling H&SCP. These posts also include treatment room work responsibilities. This is a community nursing post which will include flexibility in shift patterns including weekends.
To apply for this post it is desirable that you have some experience of nursing in a community setting. You should have a range of clinical skills which could include wound management, catheter care, venepuncture, Hickman/PICC lines, long‑term conditions and palliative care including end‑of‑life care. An understanding of Anticipatory Care Planning is desirable. Also have the ability to deal with difficult situations, and have challenging conversations due to the nature of the job.
The aim of the post is to focus on prevention, anticipation and supported self‑management to enable everyone to live longer, healthier lives at home or in a homely setting. NHS Forth Valley is supportive of lifelong learning. Training will also be provided during induction to the successful applicants. It is essential that you are a good communicator and show that you work well within a team and also are able to function autonomously using your skills and initiative due to lone working in patients’ homes.
Competent IT skills are essential.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
