We’re seeking a dynamic, strategic, and people-focused leader to take on the role of Head of Asset Delivery within our Legal & Property Directorate, which is responsible for estate management services across our organisation. This is a high-impact leadership position, central to the successful delivery of our estate transformation agenda.
As Head of Asset Delivery, you’ll lead the delivery of one our most significant, complex, multi-site capital investment programmes. You’ll ensure new infrastructure is acquired and built before legacy sites are decommissioned, all within a matrix management environment. This role sits on our Extended Leadership Team and plays a pivotal part in shaping the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of the business. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week in our Central Reading office.
What you’ll do:
* Lead the delivery of all aspects of the capital investment project
* Drive continuous improvement across strategy, systems, and processes
* Manage complex stakeholder relationships and governance forums
* Lead and engage cross-functional teams within a matrix structure
* Proactively manage interdependencies to minimise customer impact
* Translate stakeholder priorities into actionable plans for delivery teams
* Identify and respond to emerging requirements and opportunities
* Oversee project budgets, forecasting, and value delivery
* Enhance workflow systems and reporting capabilities
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
* Proven experience leading teams/functions in a matrix project environment
* Deep understanding of capital delivery programmes (planning and build)
* Expertise in workflow management and performance tracking
* Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
* Experience balancing customer, commercial, and technical priorities
* Track record of driving continuous improvement and team performance
Desirable:
* Knowledge of infrastructure management
* Experience in joint ventures or similar collaborative environments
* Familiarity with CDM regulations
