We're seeking a Ramp Colleague to play an integral role in our aviation contract, delivering a first-class service and achieving fantastic results.
WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
* Loading and unloading baggage onto the aircraft
* Operating ground handling equipment such as baggage carts, belt loaders, and tow tractors, to transport luggage to and from the aircraft
* Marshalling aircrafts to and from gates, ensuring safe and precise positioning
* Assist with aircraft pushback and towing as needed
* Perform routine inspections of aircraft and ground equipment, reporting any issues or discrepancies to supervisors
* Maintain clear and effective communication with flight deck and ground crew to coordinate aircraft movements
* The role includes regular heavy lifting
* The role includes working outside in all weather conditions
WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?
* A valid UK manual driving license is essential with experience of driving
* Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
* Confident dealing with challenging situations
* Works well within a team
* Excellent communication skills at all levels
* Willing to attend a medical appointment
SECURITY PROCESS TO WORK WITHIN AVIATION AND TRAVEL AT DHL
* Be able to provide five years address history
* Be able to provide five years reference history (employment/education/benefit claim/character)
* To obtain a full airside ID
