Business Development Manager - FMCG Transport (Hunter Role)

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing new business opportunities aligned with our business model. You will source and develop new business for Border Express based on documented KPI’s of monthly new trade.
This front-line role demands high communication skills, professionalism, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. Success will be measured by meeting sales targets (KPIs), customer satisfaction, and maintaining a safe workplace.
Reporting directly to the NSW Sales Manager, your expertise in FMCG solution selling will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Achieve monthly revenue and profitability targets.
2. Prospect, qualify, and acquire new business aligned with target markets.
3. Onboard new clients and transition them smoothly to the Account Management team.
4. Manage time and priorities effectively across sales tasks.
5. Meet activity and sales KPI targets.
6. Maintain accurate records in CRM and pipeline tools.
7. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
Skills and Experience
1. Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in FMCG transport, logistics, or related sectors.
2. Proven ability to sell strategic solutions and meet sales targets.
3. Strong understanding of the full sales process from lead generation to closing.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
5. Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset.
7. Current motor vehicle license required.
