Job Advert

As Finance Officer you will be responsible for day‑to‑day financial operations, including invoicing, bank reconciliations,

payment runs, record management, and financial reporting. You will be supporting managers across the organisation, handle queries,

and uphold compliance and charity values.

Key Duties Include

* Prepare invoices, receive and allocate payments
* Daily monitoring of bank statements and recording direct transactions.
* Process customer payments and supplier invoices, and prepare monthly payment runs.
* Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and other reconciliations (e.g., shop takings and others as necessary).
* Manage petty cash, cheques, and bank lodgements in coordination with Community Service Managers.
* Use finance software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) to produce accurate reports.
* Provide financial support to managers and internal teams, ensuring timely information sharing.
* Perform credit control and ensure payments are received as and when due.
* Support with ad‑hoc financial tasks as required by the Head of Finance or Senior Leadership Team.
* Maintain confidentiality and uphold charity values in all work.

Experience And Skills

* Degree in accounting, bookkeeping or related field (or equivalent associated qualification).
* Minimum two years' experience in a finance position
* Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
* Actively studying toward an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA etc.) – desirable but not compulsory.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work accurately and with close attention to detail in a busy

working environment

* Ability to work on own initiative and respond with flexibility and dynamism
* Knowledge of QuickBooks Software would be advantageous but not essential, training will be provided.
