Due to location, own transport required - Colchester CO7 Office based Normal working hours: 37.5 Hours a week (0830 – 1700 Daily with 1 hour for lunch) Salary : £40-45K depending on experience POSITION: PROJECT MANAGER The above position has arisen in a growing business who engineer and supply high pressure air and gas compression systems to the UK market. The company is currently working on a number of high-profile projects, for which they are looking to recruit a dedicated team player in the position of Project Manager to manage current and future projects. As part of the Project Engineering team, you will be working on various aspects of projects within the business, your tasks will include, but not be limited to: * Establish and maintain relationships with appropriate stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes. * Taking on full project responsibility from contract kick off through to final customer handover. * Working closely with the Project Design Engineers to produce detailed technical documentation to tight deadlines in line with contract requirements. * Strong organisational skills, ability to develop and manage effective processes. * Keeping accurate records of meeting minutes stakeholder action lists. * Producing and maintaining detailed project plans, ensuring suitable resource is allocated within the project lifecycle. * Participation in internal project review meetings, chairing for own projects. * Providing bi-weekly reporting to the Project Department Lead on project progress. * Being the point of contact for customer and supplier enquiries / correspondence in relation to owned projects. * Effectively manage risk and opportunities within own projects, producing and maintaining detailed R&O registers. * Be responsible for monitoring own KPI’s and assisting in monitoring company KPI’s to drive improvement. * Participation and input into internal project quality audits. * Being forward thinking and willing/able to suggest new ways of working to improve efficiency. * Be available and willing to attend customer meetings and training, including travel to the head office in Germany as required (UK based role). * Support the business in all aspects of projects being undertaken as required. * Any other areas associated with projects or special packages requiring input that maybe required to support the business. The successful candidate will require the following: * Project Management experience is essential * An engineering background with a formal engineering qualification is highly desirable. * A good mechanical understanding is essential. * Customer-facing experience is essential. * Project Management certification is advantageous (PRINCE2 / APM) * Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, Project etc. * Must be a team player to fit in with a small working team. * High levels of motivation and the ability to be confident and professional in all situations/circumstances. * Passport and full UK driving licence. * The ability to obtain SC Clearance
