Pure is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a highly successful and innovative engineering business located in Thetford. We are seeking a proactive and experienced Finance Manager to take on a key leadership role within their finance function.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly alongside a talented Finance Director, playing a pivotal part in managing the day-to-day financial operations while providing the accurate, insightful financial reporting necessary to drive strategic business decisions.
The Opportunity: Key Responsibilities
This role offers a blend of operational oversight and strategic influence, encompassing the following core areas:
Strategic Reporting: Leading the production of detailed management reports and comprehensive variance analysis.
Business Partnership: Collaborating closely with key stakeholders across the business to translate financial data into actionable strategy.
Operational Oversight: Managing and overseeing the smooth, day-to-day running of the entire finance function.
Process Improvement: Identifying and implementing improvements in financial systems (including ERP) and processes to enhance efficiency and control.
Team Leadership: Mentoring and developing team members, ensuring high performance and continuous professional growth.
Skills and Experience Required
We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a robust combination of technical expertise and leadership capability:
Technical Accounting: Strong foundation in accounting principles, reconciliations, and statutory compliance (VAT, audit).
Systems Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills and proven experience effectively utilising ERP systems.
Analytical Ability: Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely to non-finance colleagues.
Management Accounts: Extensive experience in producing high-quality management accounts and insightful financial analysis.
Leadership: Prior experience in people management, with a clear focus on development and mentorship.
