PWR is recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider for a dedicated Phase 2 Occupational Therapist to support young adults with learning and physical disabilities. This term-time only role offers the chance to work as part of a committed multidisciplinary therapy team, delivering life-changing interventions in a holistic, student-centred environment.
Position Overview:
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Start Date: September 2025 (or as soon as available)
Contract: Term time only, permanent
Role: Phase 2 Occupational Therapist (Band 6 salary)
Setting: Adults with complex learning, sensory and physical needs
What You’ll Be Doing:
✔️ Deliver student-centred occupational therapy assessments and interventions
✔️ Support students with a range of physical, sensory, and learning needs
✔️ Develop and implement individualised therapy plans
✔️ Promote engagement in education and daily living skills
✔️ Collaborate with education staff, families, and external professionals
✔️ Contribute to EHCP reviews and outcomes
✔️ Mentor and supervise junior therapy staff as required
We’re Looking For:
HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
Experience with young people with learning/physical disabilities, autism, and/or behaviours that challenge
Creative and student-led approach to therapy
Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Passion for supporting young adults to achieve greater independence

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
