Night Shift Warehouse Team Leader
Location: Hull
Hours: Sunday-Thursday, 22:00-06:00
Are you ready to lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced distribution environment? We're looking for a motivated Warehouse Team Leader to support night-shift operations at our modern logistics facility in Hull. This cutting-edge site manages a high-volume operation, dispatching goods nationwide and to Ireland every day to support a large and diverse customer base.
About the Role
As a Warehouse Team Leader, you'll manage a team of around 25 colleagues, ensuring operational performance, safety standards, and service levels are consistently met across your designated area. You'll play a vital role in maintaining smooth overnight operations while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and motivating your team to achieve productivity, quality, and accuracy targets
* Managing all Health & Safety matters within your area
* Handling people-related processes including performance, absence, recruitment, retention, and team briefings
* Planning and managing resources effectively, including budget considerations
* Ensuring excellent service standards for internal and external customers
* Supporting staff development through training and coaching
* Collaborating with other departments to maintain efficient end-to-end workflow

About You
The ideal candidate will bring:
* Strong working knowledge of warehouse processes and procedures
* Proven experience managing and developing teams
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Solid numerical ability and strong attention to detail
* Manual handling experience
* Ability to work to tight deadlines
* Basic IT skills
* A solid understanding of Health & Safety in a warehouse environment
