Job Title: Drama Teacher (Maternity Cover – Part-Time, 4 Days) Location: Dudley, West Midlands Start Date: October 2025 Contract: Maternity Cover | Part-Time (4 days per week) | Secondary School Salary: Competitive, based on experience, Paid to scale About the Role: A secondary school in Dudley are seeking a confident and experienced Drama Teacher to join their team from October 2025 on a part-time basis (4 days/week) to cover a maternity leave. As the sole Drama specialist in the department, the successful candidate must be capable of independently leading the subject, delivering engaging and creative lessons across KS3 and KS4, and managing all aspects of the curriculum. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality Drama lessons across KS3–KS4 Manage the Drama curriculum independently Assess, track, and report on student progress Prepare students for GCSE practical and written assessments Support school productions and extracurricular drama activities Essential Requirements: A recognised UK teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) Minimum of 4 years’ experience teaching Drama in UK secondary schools Proven ability to lead a subject area independently Excellent classroom management and communication skills DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one) The School Offers: A supportive and inclusive environment Enthusiastic students who enjoy creative subjects Opportunities to contribute to wider school life, including performances and enrichment activities How to Apply: Please send your CV and a brief cover letter to, or contact Megan on for more information.
