People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver, offering excellent rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.
This role would suit applicants who have worked in a previous role of LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts:
* 4 on / 4 off
* PM starts – 18:00–06:00
* 12-hour shifts (all breaks paid)
Rates of Pay:
* £15.53 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver, your day-to-day duties will include:
* Yard shunting / movement of vehicles
* Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently
* Ensuring all vehicles are moved in a safe manner
* Adhering to traffic laws and transport regulations
* Communicating effectively with site managers
* Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
Essential Skills:
The skills required to be a HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver are:
* Valid UK Category CE driving licence
* Minimum of six months' experience driving C+E vehicles
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
* Valid UK Driver CPC card and Digital Tachograph card
* Good level of spoken and written English
* Punctual with excellent time-keeping skills
* Good understanding xxuwjjq of UK traffic laws and regulations
* Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience:
* Previous experience driving commercial vehicles
Training:
* Driver assessment required prior to starting
* One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
