Teaching Assistant Details Full Time, Term Time Teaching Assistant Rate: £90 - £95 per day Teaching Assistant Working hours: 8:30am-3:30pm 195 days a year as per school’s term dates Contract: Temp to Permanent Teaching assistants make the education of their students their first concern, and are key to the students achieving the highest possible outcomes. The main responsibilities for the post are to: * Support students with their socio-emotional engagement with learning and promote independence in a safe environment. * Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for each student. * Promote the inclusion of all students, so that all have equal opportunities to feel included and to contribute to school life. * Create a supportive and relaxed working environment that makes students feel happy and secure. * Implement the positive behaviour approaches set out by the school, including Restorative Practice and Zones of Regulation. A good understanding of behaviour as communication, attachment theory, ASD needs in the classroom, and theory underlying nurture provision are ideal for any professional working in our school.
