Maternity support workers are central to quality care and information provision working alongside midwives and the wider professional teams to achieve excellence in maternity care. We are seeking experienced Care Workers who are enthusiastic, hard-working, flexible individuals to assist us to provide the best care at all times. To be eligible for this role, an OUH Care Certificate or equivalent must have been completed previously and some experience of working in Social/Health Care.
We are happy to consider part-time/full-time applicants,. We do not offer term time only contracts at present. This role is based on the Delivery Suite, in the Womens Centre at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Please note: This role is mainly Monday - Friday with the occasional weekend or Bank Holiday shift (which includes enhancements as per AfC). Shifts are generally hours from -. We are happy to discuss Flexible Working options at interview. This role is not eligible for overseas sponsorship.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the maternity elective caesarean team you will support and closely work with the elective caesarean midwives to deliver a high standard of care to women in a caring and safe environment. To work as part of the widerteam in developing and maintaining services provided to women and contribute to the safe, efficient and smooth running of the ward/clinical area. To maintain the dignity and privacy of all women and respect their right to confidentiality.
