An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our team of friendly dietitians and assistants at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust. We are one of the busiest acute trusts in London, based across Queen’s Hospital in Romford and King George Hospital in Goodmayes.
The successful applicant will work within our neurosciences team, covering an inpatient caseload on neurosurgical and neurological wards, as well as general medical wards. With training, they will also support the senior specialist neurosciences dietitian on the neuroscience critical care unit as needed. The department actively involves in educating healthcare professionals and student dietitians, and participation in this training is expected.

Requirements include a recognized degree/diploma in Dietetics, registration with the HCPC, and clinical experience across various disease states and therapies. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be a team player, and able to use initiative.
Role Responsibilities
1. Deliver a high-quality, evidence-based Nutrition and Dietetic service to inpatients and outpatients.
2. Provide specialist nutritional care, including assessment, dietary therapy, and monitoring for patients and carers across neurosurgery, neurological disorders, elderly care, and general medical/surgical wards.
3. Serve as a dietary expert for colleagues and healthcare professionals across the organization.
4. Ensure full service coverage during staff leave periods.
5. Contribute to clinical governance through audits, development, and implementation of guidelines and policies, and ongoing professional development.
