Location: Various locations across Leicester City
Contract: 20 hours per week (Part‑time, between 5 and 20 hours per week), permanent.
Responsibilities
You will plan and deliver both face‑to‑face and online English functional skills courses to adult learners using engaging resources and teaching methods that encourage active learning. You will maximise attendance, retention and achievement, and monitor learning to ensure outcomes and success rates are achieved. You will confidently use technology in and outside the classroom such as Google Classroom and Google Meet, attend regular meetings, CPD sessions, enrolment sessions, and assist in exams. You will travel to settings and schools across the city or teach online as part of a blended learning approach, and may work outside normal office hours, including evenings.
Qualifications
* Subject specific qualification at an appropriate level
* Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above
* Teaching qualification at Level 5 or willingness to work towards it
* Minimum GCSE A to C or equivalent English qualification
Benefits
Salary: *GBP*26,448 - *GBP*28,868 per year (pro‑rata for part‑time, term‑time hours). Career progression up to *GBP*30,168. Appointment will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
