Test Analyst – Permanent - Glasgow Hybrid

We’re actively recruiting Test Analysts for one of our prestigious clients, a national leading mutual life and investments organisation.
The Role: Test Analyst
We are looking for a Test Analyst who will be central to ensuring the quality and reliability of our client's software solutions through meticulous manual testing. You'll be instrumental in analysing requirements, designing test cases, executing tests, and collaborating across agile teams.
We are looking for analysts who:
* Are passionate about delivering high‑quality, defect‑free software to the customer.
* Are dedicated to deeply understanding system functionality and business processes.
* Are comfortable working across agile, waterfall, and bespoke methodologies.
* Have the customer at the heart of what they do, focusing on a positive user experience.
* Ensure test best practice, continual improvements, and appropriate standards are adhered to.
* Can work closely with Software Engineers, Developers, and Business Analysts to deliver the test activities to meet the requirements, whilst contributing to effective agile delivery.
* Can base themselves on client site 2 days per week.
Essential Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have the following:
* 2+ years knowledge and experience of structured manual software testing, including functional, non‑functional, system integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
* Proven ability to analyse complex business and technical requirements and translate them into clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases.
* Strong experience in test execution, defect management, and reporting using tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar.
* Comfortable working as part of an Agile development team and participating in ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, and retrospectives.
Desirable Skills
* Experience with SQL for data validation, querying, and setup.
* Familiarity with testing APIs and services using tools like Postman (as a manual execution tool).
* A formal qualification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing).
