Due to continued success, Wrightbus are currently recruiting for Vehicle Installation Electricians.
Hours of work: 4 day week (Monday to Thursday).
Role
* Responsible for the compliance with the company’s health and safety policy and procedures, ensuring the workshop policies are being adhered to.
* Ensure that work carried out is to the Wrightbus agreed quality standard and that all such quality sign‑offs and procedures are complied with.
* Ensure that the vehicle electrical control system is installed to the specification requirements as detailed by the relevant documentation.
* Install and modify vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in the contract build documentation.
* Terminate various automotive and high‑voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
* Test and commission the vehicle electrical system as per Quality Assurance documentation.
* Fault find and repair the vehicle electrical system using bespoke diagnostic software.
* Ensure the installation is completed in accordance with the allocated process time.
* Be prepared to work overtime when requested by management.
* Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes, including training of others.
Requirements
* Time‑served automotive, domestic or industrial electrician.
* Demonstrate capability to work on systems up to 600V AC or DC.
* Capable of reading wiring diagrams.
* Experience of routing and connection of various cable types.
* Basic fault‑finding techniques.
* Good interpersonal skills.
* Willing to undertake or provide training as required.
* Awareness of general Health and Safety rules.
* Proven ability to be flexible, work overtime and change shift patterns as required.
